We are passionate musicians with a vision to inspire the next generation of brass players. As graduates with a deep love for brass music, our mission is to encourage children, amateur musicians, and aspiring professionals to explore the joy of playing brass instruments. Through workshops, masterclasses, lessons, and thrilling concerts, we aim to ignite a lifelong passion for music.

Meet our Directors

Tom Torley

Artistic Director

Tom Torley is a tuba player, organist, and music director with a passion for expanding the reach of brass playing and engaging new audiences. A graduate of the Royal College of Music, he has performed with leading orchestras, conducted ensembles, and championed music education. As Artistic Director of the Chiswick Brass Festival, he curates dynamic programming that brings high-quality performances to West London.

Mila Ferramosca

Executive Director

Mila Jacqueline Ferramosca is a violinist, entrepreneur, and arts leader dedicated to fostering artistic innovation and championing new opportunities for musicians. As Executive Director of the Chiswick Brass Festival, she oversees its development, programming, and operations, bringing together world-class performers and engaging audiences. A graduate of the Royal College of Music, she has an extensive career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral leader, performing at major venues such as Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall.

Introduce children and youths to the world of brass music and provide opportunities to learn and grow.

Support Emerging Talent

Provide opportunities and guidance for graduate and up-and-coming brass ensembles.

Collaborate with local schools and organizations to foster a sense of community through music.

Encourage Collaboration

Create joint brass projects and events to unite musicians of all levels and backgrounds.

Partner with Chiswick Symphonic Brass to give young players the chance to perform alongside professional musicians.

Promote Diversity

Champion the works of female, ethnically diverse, and LGBTQ+ brass composers, ensuring their voices are heard.

Workshops, Outreach & Instrument Access

Deliver engaging workshops in schools to inspire the next generation of players. Help children take their first steps in music by providing access to instruments.

Competitions

Organize brass and percussion competitions, offering prizes to recognize and encourage excellence.

Support for Aspiring Musicians

Offer tailored support to young players preparing for grade exams and auditions.
